Dr. Markus Hellmuth was born in 1971 in Koblenz am Rhein, Germany. He studied at the Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz and obtained a university degree in molecular biology. His master’s dissertation was related to cellular and molecular processes activated by Dioxins.
Related to the topic of his diploma, he worked for an additional year at the research institute for toxicology at the University Hospital of the Johannes Gutenberg-University Mainz.
Then he moved to the University Hospital of the Johann Wolfgang Goethe-University in Frankfurt am Main to the Institute for Pharmacology and Toxicology. There he did his PhD thesis in the area of basic drug research for virus and cancer therapy. He subsequently transferred to the Charité, a joint institution of Humboldt-Universität and Freie Universität in Berlin and worked there for three years in a Post-Doc position on a DFG project for basic research in virology therapy models for polytrauma patients. Eight years ago he moved to Kärcher Futurtech in Schwaikheim near Stuttgart and works as a product specialist and product manager for the CBRN area.
