Masaki Takeda is the Director of CBRN Defense Technology Division of Advanced Defense Technology Center (ADTeC), under the Acquisition, Technology & Logistics Agency (ATLA), of the Ministry of Defense (MOD). He is responsible for research on & evaluation of the CBRN Threat Assessment Simulation, Sensors & Detection Device, Protection Suit & Gas Mask, and Decontamination Devices mainly used by the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force (JGSDF). He graduated from Tohoku University and Tokyo University of Science, and received a B.S. and M.E./Ph.D. He had previously worked for a good portion of his career as a technical official at the Technical Research & Development Institute (TRDI) which the organization preceding the ATLA. He was originally a researcher of information assurance for more than 20 years, and switched to CBRN focused research for 5 years. He is continuously seeking advanced technology and researching other related topics which can be applied to CBRN.
