Yumiko Suto has been the leader of the Biodosimetry Team at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences since 2010. She is also a member of Working Group-18 (Biodosimetry) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), a member of WHO BioDoseNet, and a director of the Japan Mendel Society. Her research interests focus on radiation biology and human genetics. She graduated from University of Tokyo; Faculty of Science (1990) and Graduate School of Science (1995), received a PhD in science (1995). She had worked as a principal investigator at Japanese Red Cross Central Blood Institute (1995-1998, 2005-2010), a research associate at Leiden University (1998), an assistant professor at University of Tokyo (1999-2004) and Tokyo Women’s Medical University (2004-2005).
