Mr. Sinsuke Takigawa is currently the Vice Governor of the Chiba Prefecture of Japan. Mr. Takigawa has had over 30 years of experience in public service in Japan, beginning his career with the Ministry of Home Affairs in 1987. In 2003, he became the Manager of the General Affairs Department of the Nara Prefecture and then took the position of Vice Governor of the Prefecture in 2007. Mr. Takigawa went on to hold numerous positions in numerous departments of the government in the following years including Counsellor within the Cabinet Secretariat, Director of the Sydney Office where he was a part of the Council of Local Authorities for International Relations, and as a Director within the Environment and Regional Development Division of the Aviation Network Department. From 2014 to 2016, he has held two Director positions within the Local Public Finance Bureau, first as the Director of the Local Bond Division, and then as the Director of the Regional Policy Division. Before taking up his current post, Mr. Shinsuke Takigawa held the position of Director of the Local Public Enterprise Division of the Local Public Finance Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communication.
