Ms. Takako Tominaga is currently the Chief Physician at the Radiation Emergency Medicine Center at the National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS) of the National Institutes for Quantum and Radiological Science and Technology. Ms. Tominaga began her career in 2001 after graduating from Saga Medical School. She went on to work in research and as a Member of the Medical Staff at Saga Medical School Hospital until 2012 when she graduated with her PhD in Medicine from Saga University. Ms. Tominaga then took the post of Chief Physician of the Radiation Medical Assistant Team of the NIRS until taking on her current position. Notably, she also responded to the TEPCO Fukushima Daiichi NPP accident in 2011 as an Expert of Radiation Emergency Medicine.
